Congratulations to Lauren Gathany (1996-2001) and Adam Albright on their engagement on April 13th! While eating their favorite chinese food, Lauren opened a fortune cookie that said "Will you marry me?" Adam then got down on one knee and pulled out a ring.
Lauren and Adam met on move-in day during their freshman year at Vanderbilt University. They are both graduate students now and living in Nashville. Lauren is finishing her Pediatric Nurse Practioner program this August and Adam will receive his MBA next May.
Emily Gniotczynski (1995-2000 and 2006-2008) and Erik Roedig were engaged on April 19th, 2011. Erik surprised Emily with a night away at a spa in Wisconsin Dells for their three year anniversary. While they were there, he proposed. Emily and Erik are planning an August 2012 wedding in Milwaukee, WI.
Emily started off as a camper and then became our Health Manager (2006-2008). Currently, she is working as a Nurse at St. Luke’s on a Cardiac floor. Erik is a Senior Network Engineer at an IT company.
Kevin McKay (1998 & 2003) proposed to Jen Afflerbach on January 1st of this year while walking their dogs at Roger Williams Park in Providence, Rhode Island. They are planning an April 21, 2012 wedding at the Kay Chapel in Newport, Rhode Island. They are VERY excited to be going on an African safari for their honeymoon!
Kevin has been a staff psychologist at the Miriam Hospital for almost 3 years and last winter, he was appointed to the Clinical Faculty at Brown University, Warren Alpert School of Medicine. Jen is a 5th grade teacher in Fall River, Massachusetts.
